Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the leakage of a transmitted signal to a received signal output terminal by generating a circular polarized wave by the use of two directional couplers with the degree of coupling of 0dB. CONSTITUTION:A transmitted input signal, branched to waveguides 16 and 17 after passing through waveguide 14, is coupled with circular waveguide 6. Then, this signal has components of planes A and B of polarization, which have a difference in phase of 90 deg. to generate a polarized wave. On the other hand, a received signal which is the reverse of the transmitted signal is input from terminal 7 and that having the component of plane A of polarization is coupled with rectangular waveguide 21 after passing through the directional coupler of 0dB in degree of coupling consisting of coupling elements 201 and 202. Then, the signal having the component of plane B of polarization is similarly led to rectangular waveguide 22 from coupling elements 203 and 204. The phase difference is eliminated by adequately setting lengths of both the waveguides and both the signals are mixed together by branch part 23 without a loss before being output 23. Thus, the leakage of the transmitted signal to the received signal terminal can be eliminated.
