Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of switching amplifier and the performance, by forming the circuit through the use of two pulse width modulation amplifiers. CONSTITUTION:The voltage having the waveform (a) from the input terminal 1 is pulse-width-modulated with the output of the triangle wave generator 3 at the comparator 4 to obtain the waveform (d). Further, the inptut waveform (a) is inverted at the phase inverter 2 and pulse-width-modulated at the comparator 5 similarly to obtain the waveform (e). Next, the waveform (f) subtracting the waveforms (d) and (e) is fed to the speaker load 6. Since the speaker 6 is not responded to the high frequency pulse, the audio waveform (g) similar to the input waveform (a) is obtained. The phase of the output pulse of the comparators 4, 5 is in-phase and no current flows to the comparators 4, 5 or load 6 when the input is zero especially. Thus, the efficiency at small signal input can remarkably be increased. Further, the high frequency noise at no input can be reduced.
