Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously prepare a highly foamed molded article having a uniform fine cell structure, by a method wherein, to a vinyl chloride type resin composition gelated by heating in an extruder, an org. solvent type foaming agent is introduced under pressure and, thereafter, foamed and molded by the extrusion. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl chloride type resin composition comprising a vinyl chloride type resin; 100pts.wt., (and so on), a nucleating agent; 0.1-20pts., a styrene type resin; 0.5-30pts. and a decomposable foaming agent; 0-5pts. is supplied to an extruder and heated to be gelated. Subsequently, an org. solvent type foaming agent with b.p. of 90 deg.C or less (pentane, methyl chloride or the like) is introduced under pressure and maintained at a temp. of 30 deg.C higher than a softening temp. of a vinyl chloride type resin composition and 15 deg.C lower than a specific gelation temp. and, by successively extruding to a low temp. and pressure zone, the foaming and the molding is carried out.
