Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a converter of a simple construction in which the dimensional accuracy of an inner electrode is equal to that of outer electrodes, by providing toothed electrodes such that the toothed electrodes do not cross a lead wire and such that the toothed electrodes have a minimized gap therebetween for drawing out the lead wire therethrough.
CONSTITUTION: Toothed electrodes 19, 20 having teeth of the same pitch are extended substantially semicircularly in a symmetrical relationship so as not to overlap each other. The electrodes 19, 20 have the center common thereto and are opposed to each other as they are spaced by 1/4 of a pitch P of the teeth thereof. A common electrode 21 is concentrically provided on the inner side of the toothed electrodes 19, 20. Lead wires 22W24 are extended from the electrodes 19W21, respectively. A pair of sliders 25, 26 are disposed such as to be spaced at 180°. The sliders 25, 26 are slidingly moved along the electrodes 19, 20 as they are in contact with the electrode 21. Assuming that the electrode 19, 20 have an even number of teeth, the electrodes 19, 20 have a gap of P/4 at upper portions thereof and a gap of 3P/4 at lower portions thereof, so that the lead wire 24 can be drawn out through the gap of 3P/4. In this structure, the number of output pulses per one revolution can be increased. Since two electrodes have the same diameter, they have the same level of dimensional accuracy.
