Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain projection images of a high definition by letting the focusing face of image formed on a fluorescent screen coincide with the curved surface of projection screen. CONSTITUTION:The difference d between the curved surface of a projection screen and the focus of picture light is obtained at each point on the projection screen and the points on a fluorescent screen, corresponding to the points on the projection screen, are made uneven as much as d'=d/M2 (where M is the scale factor of projection), larger than the spherical surface R. In short, when d>O, the focus of picture light is on cathode-ray tube rather than the projection screen and the fluorescent screen structure becomes convex. Also, when d<O, the focus point of the picture light is located at a position on the opposite side of the cathode-ray tube begond the projection screen and therefore the fluorescent screen structure becomes concave.
