Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the memory and display apparatus which eliminates intricate hologram medium moving mechanisms, etc. by performing the electronical storage of hologram images and their incoherent reconstruction.
CONSTITUTION: Data of original hologram images having been computed with an electronic computer 10 are stored in a memory device 11 and are converted to electronic video signals D which then cause a cathode ray oscillograph CRT 12 or the like to form computer hologram images. The incoherent light of the images is projected via optical lens 13, etc. to a writable-readable image memory element 14 composed of a plastic film of Bi12SiO20, etc. By radiating the coherent light R as reconstruction light to the element 14, the 3-dimensional images may be reproduced and displayed.
