Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the capsule toner of good pressure fixing characteristic, high impact resistance and long service life by covering pressure-fixing components as core material with insulation type resin shells by way of adhesive agents. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive solvent such as cyclized rubber is deposited by a spray drier on the particles of the core material containing pressure-fixing type components (such as polyethylene oxide and the like which are easy to intertwine with fibers of paper at about linear pressure 20 kg/cm) and magnetic particles (magnetite, etc.). The resultant particles are dispersed in a solvent of insulation type resins, etc. such as polystyrene and the like which have good film forming ability, are non-cohesive and do not impair pressure-fixing characteristic and this dispersion is spray-dried to obtain the capsule toner of particle sizes 5 to 15 microns. This yields the capsule toner of good chargeability and good storage stability giving distinct and fog-free images.
