Abstract

PURPOSE: To decide the conveyance direction of a material by measuring a difference in detection time between material detectors placed at two horizonal positions at a confluence point between horizontal material conveyance and vertical material conveyance.
CONSTITUTION: Detectors 11 and 12 are horizontally provided regarding the top surface of roller table 4 as their visual fields. Then, distance L between detectors 11 and 12 should be less than the length of material 5 carried by crane 1, and so fitted that they will be turned ON nearly at the same time right before naterial 5 is placed on roller table 4. Here, detectors 11 and 12 are turned ON in the order of 12 and 11 as to the conveyance of roller 6. Their signals are input to computer 7. Then, when material 5 is placed on roller table 4 by crane 1, detectors 11 and 12 are turned ON within time difference T. Additionally, when detector 12 is turned ON and detector 11 is not turned ON within time difference T, material 6 is judged one having been conveyed by roller table 4.
