Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a sure measurement by an apparatus strong against disturbance, by radiating laser pulses to a rotary mirror and reflecting reflected pulses from a target by the rotary mirror and detecting focusing by an image sensor which is provided at the focal position of a focusing lens. CONSTITUTION:Rotary mirror 1 is rotated, and rotation angle signals are sent from rotation angle detector 9 to synchronizing signal generator 12. When laser pulses which should be incident onto a rotary mirror has a rotation angle toward target 2, synchronizing signal generator 12 drives laser control circuit 11 to cause oscillator 10 to generate laser pulses. These pulses are reflected by reflection mirror 13 and rotary mirror 1, and a part of them is reflected by glass plate 15 and is focused on the focal position of image sensor 19 through focusing lens 3. Then, the light which passed through glass plate 15 is deviated from the focal point of focusing lens 3 and is focused through a path of target 2-glass plate 15-rotary mirror 1-focusing lens 3. These light receiving points are indicated by luminous points d and e on Braun tube 21, so that target distance R can be measured accurately on a basis of interval L between luminous points d and e.
