Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a diagnostic data with high resolution by gain-controlling a received ultrasonic signal according to the arranged positions of the respective ultrasonic vibrators and by employing a variable delay circuit that performs the delay control with the lapse of the reception time. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic signal received by plural ultrasonic vibrators 21- 2N is individually provided to the fixed delay circuits 31-3N. Each of the fixed delay circuits 31-3N delay-controls the ultrasonic signal according to an individually determined fixed delay time. The delay-controlled ultrasonic signal is fed to the addition circuit 5 through the variable delay circuits 41-4N. The addition circuit 5 adds respective ultrasonic signals to each other to compose them and provides the sum to the receiver circuit 6, which detects and amplifies the ultrasonic signal and provides an image data signal to the cathode ray tube monitor 7.
