Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the starting lead angle condition by providing a valve device to close on low temperature period in response to engine temperature.
CONSTITUTION: With low temperature period of engine, a flow way 35 is closed with valve body 41 of valve system 36 actuated corresponding to temperature change of cooling water passage 40. With auxiliary piston 30 attempted to move to the right direction, the pressure of chamber 31 is increased without changing volume of chamber 13 because of fully filling fuel oil in the chamber 31. Accordingly, the ritht direction movement of auxiliary piston 30 is suppressed by the pressure thereof. After started, the starting lead angle condition is maintained until the communication passage 35 is opened with engine temperature reached a specified temperature. After starting lead angle is released, the timer piston 23 is gradually moved to the left directuon by oil pressure increase within pressure oil chamber 26 to function as a normal rotation counting timer.
