Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the size of a nozzle outlet throat area adjustable and raise the efficiency of a turbine, by forming a certain length portion of each profile nozzle filled with a granular refractory material from the gas outlet and toward the gas inlet end into a single plate.
CONSTITUTION: A back plate 1 is formed to suit a back shape of an ideal profile nozzle vane with its radius of curvature being R1WR3. On the other hand, a web plate 2, which is welded with the back plate 2 at points X and Y, is formed with its radius of curvature being R4 and R5 to present a web shape of the ideal profile nozzle vane. A nozzle 3 is obtained by the back and web plates 1, 2 with a certain thickness approximating the shape of the ideal profile nozzle vane as well as with a curved portion defining a predetermined profile, and a granular refractory material is filled in a hollow portion of the nozzle 3. A gas outlet side projection 1a of the back plate 1 is formed of a single plate, and the size of a gas outlet throat area can be adjusted adequately by changing the length of the projection 1a.
