Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent oil from flowing-out to outside of an oil fence by passing thereunder by a method wherein a skirt of the oil fence located at a periphery of a oil staying area is formed especially long and a net is stretched horizontally at a lower end of the skirt.
CONSTITUTION: An oil fence consisting of a float hose 1 and a skirt 3 is fixed to a bottom of sea by ropes 4. An oil staying area is produced at a flowing-out direction of oil due to a tidal current, but a long skirt portion 3a is formed by elongating the skirt 3 of the oil fence located at a periphery of the oil staying area. Further, a net bottom 9 is formed by stretching a net horizontally at an end of the long skirt portion 3a. As a result, even if the oil is concentrated into a thick oil layer at the oil staying area, the oil is prevented from flowing-out to outside of the oil fence by passing under the fence due to functions of the long skirt 3a and the net bottom 9.
