Abstract
PURPOSE: To utilize the absorbed moisture for delaying the setting of polyester resin and to obtain a resin embossment corresponding to a pattern, by supplying water- absorbing printing paper with non-water-absorbing printing ink to provide a pattern with water-blocking property to cause partial moisture absorption.
CONSTITUTION: A projecting pattern is made on a water-absorbing printing base film 1 of paper, cloth or the like by a non-water-absorbing printing ink 2 which prevents the film from absorbing water. A printed film 3 is thus obtained. After the film 3 is caused to absorb moisture, the non-printed side of the film is bonded on a base material 4 to prepare an ornamental material. A polyester resin 5 having an unsaturated double linkage and containing a polymerization initiator and a polymerizing catalyst is coated on the ornamental material. An exfoliated film 6 is laminated and bubbles are removed to make an ornamental surface glossy and smooth as occasion demands. The resin 5 is set to make a set resin layer 7 having an embossed surface corresponding to a pattern wherein the printing ink sections 2 are protruded at A. If the exfoliated film 6 is used, it is peeled off after the resin is set.
