Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture an easily applicable, stain-resistant title laminate by coating a cloth-patterned decorative laminate with a (semi-)transparent synthetic resin coating and a glossy synthetic printing ink.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a substrate 1 such as plywood, inorganic board, etc. is covered with a decorative sheet 3 such as non-woven fabric, thin paper, etc. printed with a cloth-pattern and a substrate pattern by gravure-printing, and coated with a (semi-)transparent synthetic resin coating 5. The coated substrate is embossed with a roll having a cloth-patterned embossing surface to form a matte relief patern. The projected part 6 of the resin film is printed with a glossy ink using a color printer such as gravure-offset printing machine to obtain a top-print pattern 6 matched with the substrate print pattern.
