Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution for the broadcast receiver using the lighting display unit and its light emitting element as the signal level indicator by controlling the AFC and muting with use of the lighting display unit. CONSTITUTION:The broadcast receiver is constituted with antenna 1, high frequency amplifier circuit 2, mixer circuit 3, local oscillation circuit 4, intermediate frequency amplifier 6, demodulator circuit 6, muting switch circuit 7 and AFC control circuit 8 each. At the same time, lighting display unit 9 is installed to light up the light emitting elements in sequence every time the input voltage increases with a fixed level, and this unit 9 is actuated by the output of circuit 5 rectified by rectifier circuit 10. Output terminals B-F are provided to unit 9, and five serial circuits formed by combining resistances 12-16 and LED 17-21 are connected to terminals B-F each. And when the input signal increases at antenna 1, each LED is lit up to lower the output of Schmitt circuit 27 connected to the LED. In such way, both the AFC and muting actions are secured at circuit 8.
