Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve reliability of executions, attitude control, etc. by a method wherein a magnetude of sinking, an excavation pattern, air control, etc. including measuremeans obtained by various sensors are specified and processed by computers.
CONSTITUTION: By detected values from each sensor 1 such as a displacement gauge, a circumferent load gauge, a sinking gauge, etc., soil property values indicating soil behavior and variation, etc., soil larger distribution, excavation patterns are calculated under statuses where resistance to a caisson and load of it is in equbrium. The ground in the working chamber of the caisson is excavated according to the excavation patterns and then the caisson is caused to settle automatically as the air is controlled to settle the caisson under regulated pressure according to specified valves of the predicative computation. A lot of informations obtained from the natural and automatic settlement of the ground when excavation is processed by the computer and fed back to repeat both excavation and automatic settlement under settlement control.
