Abstract
PURPOSE: To remarkably increase the cathode density and to efficiently recover silver in waste liquid by settling as granular substance, by composing the electrolytic electrode by the cylindrical electrode and rod-shaped cathode rotating the inner concentric annular area.
CONSTITUTION: For example, waste liquid of Na2S2O3 fixing bath containing silver, is supplied to the electrolytic bath 1 from the duct 8 and electrolysis is carried out between the anode 2 and the cathode 3. Then, silver grains settled in the recovering part 10 of the bottom part of the bath 1 through the discharge opening 9, is filtered by the filter 12 and the filtrate is recirculated to the storage vessel 7 as regeneration liquid. On this occasion, silver is deposited by electrolysis in the circumference of rotation area of two stainless rods of the cathode 3 rotating around 6 facing against the cylindrical circumference wall of the anode 2 and is settled in the bath 1 in granular state as it is without electrodepositing on the stainless rod having extremely high current density. Next, settled silver accumulated on the filter 12 of the part 10, is recovered by taking out loosening the flanges 11, 11 of the part 10.
