CONSTITUTION:In a large radial tire with a carcass reinforced by a steel cord, a steel cord 1 is formed, for instance, by making a core strand 3 by twisting four steel filaments 2 with a diameter of 0.175mm, and by twisting six outer strands 4 having a same construction (twisted in a z direction) with a core stand 3, in an S direction. Further, in order to effectively prevent a stripping of rubber in the particular portion by dispersing an end portion of the steel cord, a diameter R2 of an outer contacting circle at an end of the steel cord is made as 1.1-2.5 times of the diameter of an outer contacting circle for the original steel cord.
