CONSTITUTION:A plurality of tool heads 55-58 to be changed are placed on horizontal rotation type magazines and rotated in the direction of the arrow. With the opening or closing of an arm member of the tool head exchanger 2, the tool head is grasped from the magazine 3 and shifted to the turret head 4 of a work feed work ing type special purpose machine tool 1 and retained securely. The tool head can be located at the working position and the changing position with an indexing rotation of the turret head. Thus, a work 6 clamped on a index table 8 on a feeding unit is machined.
