Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the radial load along with an improved fitting to the work by means of a tip having a chisel cutter provided at an obtuse angle corner section an a roughly diamond-shaped tip.
CONSTITUTION: The radial load is reduced while the smooth fitting to a work is made possible by means of a chisel cutter 19 provided at an obtuse angle corner 15 of a throw away tip 10. With the tip as a central cutter 31, an intermediate cutter 32 and a surrounding cutter 33 made up of another throw away tip are clamped with a retaining metal 35 and supporting seats 34 and 36 on the diametrical line at the tip of the drill body 30. The cutters are so arranged to overlap in the path thereby eliminating leftover therebetween.
