Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a multi-layer glass having good gas tightness and adhesiveness, by a method wherein a laminated film of high-polymer film provided with a combined laminate layer having a TiO2 layer is bonded to the surface of a glass which faces a sealed space so that the film contacts a sealing material.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of a high-polymer film such as polyester film, a TiO2 layer of 10W1,000Å formed by hydrolysis of an alkyl titanate and an acrylate layer of less than 3μ are applied to form a laminated film 2. The high-polymer film side of this film 2 is coated with an adhesive layer and bonded to the surface of a glass plate 1 which constitutes a multi-layer glass. The film side 2 of two or more of such glass plates 1 are faced each other, separated by a spacer 3 containing a drying agent, an oxygen adsorber, etc. 4. Then, four sides of the glass plates 1 outside the spacer 3 are sealed with thiokol-based sealing material 5.
