Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide title metal complex having oxygen adsorption-desorption performance and useful as a catalyst for adsorption-desorption reaction of oxygen, in which tetrapyrrole metal complex is bonded to the hydrophobic block part of a hydrophilic-hydrophobic-hydrophilic block terpolymer by a covalent bond.
CONSTITUTION: A styrene cpd. contg. primary or secondary amino gp is used as a starting material to obtain a block tercopolymer of formula I or II (wherein A is hydrophilic polymer chain; X is -NH-, etc.; X2 is -CONH-(CH2CH2)n-NH-; n is 1W3; Y is H, hydrocarbon gp. which does not have mobile hydrogen; R1 is H, methyle; x.y represent mole % of each unit and x+y=100; R2 is alkyl having not less than three carbon atoms; a is 0W1). The obtained block tercopolymer is reacted with metal complex of caeboxyl gp.-contg. marcrocyclic quadridentate plane liagne of formula III (wherein P is metal complex of macrocyclic quadridentate plane ligand) to produce the desired metal complex of formula IV (wherein X is =c=0; B is a radical of formula V or VI; A, X1, X2, Y, n, x, y, R1, R2, P are as defined above).
