Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the reflected light by forming the face plate with two kind of glasses having different refractive index and located in convex and concave while increasing the utilization of light by narrowing the radiating angle of emitted light. CONSTITUTION:The face plate is formed with a glass layer 5 having large index of refraction n1 and a glass layer 6 having small index of refraction n2 and they are located in concave and convex. Then fluorescent members 11-13 and an absorving material 14 are provided on the inner face of said face plate to form a color image receiving tube. The light beam 7 from the light emitting point 0 due to the stimulus of electron beam has the refraction angle theta2 larger than the incident angle theta1 thereby causes no full reflection, while since the radiating angle theta3 of the light beam 9 is also reduced the amount of incident light to the eye of the observer can be increased resulting in the improvement of entire utilization of light.
