Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the surface performance and mechanical properties of internal combustion engine sliding material by pressure-welding the Al-Sn alloy cast materials of to Sn alloys on gold-backed steel sheets and bonding the Al-Pb, alloy powder. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate layer 2 is formed by pressure-welding the Al- Sn, alloy cast materials on the sliding material gold-backed steel sheet 1 and the overlay layer 3 is formed on it by bonding the Al-Pb to Pb alloy powder. The thickness of the overlay layer 3 is 5 to 70 mum. The intermediate layer 2 maintains its high temperature hardness and improves its mechanical properties by adding one or two types of Cr, Ca, Li, Cu, Mg, Si, Mn, Sb, Ti, Ni, Fe, Zr, Mo, and Co to Al and Sn. The overlay layer 3 improves its surface performance and prevents cracking and release from occurring by adding one or two types of Si, Mn, Sb, Cr, Ti, Ni, Fe, Cu, and Mg to Al and Pb.
