Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an engine efficiency and prevent knocking overheat by shifting a mutual timing of a main engine and an auxiliary compressor in advance or backward for a certain angle, and by instituting an auxiliary compressor on an upper part of a main engine.
CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary compressor 2 is additionally installed above a main engine 1, and a crank shaft 6 of the main engine 1 and a crank shaft 16 of an auxiliary compressor 2 is connected by a chain 20, and a mutual timing of the main engine 1 and an auxiliary compressor 2 is shifted either in advance of further back by about 40°. Thereby, a compression ratio could reach at maximum at a position further back from a dead point of a main engine, and an engine efficiency is improved, and an early detonation is prevented despite of a design intended for a high compression ratio, and thus a knocking overheat is prevented.
