Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a compact high-performance filter material by a mthod wherein a filter element of metal fibers, which have been dispersed and mixed in high speed liquid, are laminated on the surface of a porous member, and an assembly is hardened with resin. CONSTITUTION:Metal fibers B such as stainless steel fibers which have been dispersed and mixed into dispersion liquid using a high speed mixer, etc. are sucked on the surface of organic or inorganic porous member such as a sintered metal or ceramics, and having flow pipe D. This causes metal fibers B to be uniformly and spirally wound and to form a liminated layer. The metal fibers B are then fixed to the surface using resin such as polyacrylate ester. The filter element so obtained has a high porocity, is compact, and operates in high performance.
