Abstract
PURPOSE: A printer arranged such that the cooling air is blasted onto a stock form in print position after it cools down the printing mechanism, for which the form is prevented from disturbing when an end of the form passes a given position by stopping blast onto the form.
CONSTITUTION: In a printer arranged such that a stock form 3 is fed by a form takeout motion 6 by way of printing unit provided with form end detection device 12, tension device 7, frame 14 and print hammer 4, the cooling air is blasted onto the hammer 4 from a ventilator 13 like blower and then onto the form 3 to blow off wastes of ink ribbon and stock form, the ventilator 13 is stopped operating upon detection of the form end by the form end detection device 12.
