Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize feedback control and realize welding of high quality easily, by converting the AC welding current into a DC feedback quantity small in ripple content, and operating the angle of conduction of three-terminal control element.
CONSTITUTION: A differential waveform of a welding current detected by a troidal coil 3 is detected as a voltage in a waveform restoring circuit A, and the output of the circuit A is delayed by about 1/6 cycle by means of circuits B1, B2. The AC voltage detected in the circuit A and the waveforms delayed in the circuits B1, B2 are respectively full-wave rectified in full wave rectifying circuits C1, C2, C3. These voltages are added in an adding circuit D, and the added voltage is converted into an effective value voltage having a small ripple content in an effective value converting circuit E. The difference between the output from a circuit F to apply a reference voltage to set the angle of conduction of a thyristor and the feedback quantity of the effective value voltage proportional to the welding current determined in the circuit E is detected in a circuit G and amplified. On the basis of the output voltage of the circuit G, the angle of conduction of thyristor L is set through a circuit H.
