Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate fabrication and transport of a caisson by composing a caisson yard by a floating dock for fabrication equipped with a transport device, and by a floating dock for draw-out, which is designed so that it can float or sink according to demand and can be connected to that floating dock for fabrication.
CONSTITUTION: A floating dock 1 for fabrication of caisson is composed of a pontoon 4 having side walls 5 at both sides, equipped with working facilities such as cranes, etc. and provided with rails 6 intended for two or more trucks. A floating dock 2 for draw-out is composed of a pontoon 15 having side walls 16 at both sides, equipped with a ballast tank and rails 17 for trucks and so designed that it can float or sink as requested. A caisson C ... fabricated in the floating a dock 1 for fabrication is transferred to the floating dock 2 for draw-out by means of a transfer device 3 equipped in the dock 1, whereafter the floating dock 2 for draw-out is transported separately from the floating dock 1 for fabrication.
