Abstract

PURPOSE: To control mutual movements of both pontoons and align their end faces to a regular position, by protrusively providing each of right and left mount and jump devices to respective joint end faces of the pontoons used when constructing a marine airport.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of mount devices 1, in which an end tapered face 1b is extensibly provided from a base end horizontal top face 1a, are protrusively provided on joint faces of one pontoon A of the both pontoons A, B to be jointed on the sea and jump devices 2 protrusively provided on joint faces of the other pontoon B. Ballast weights W are preloaded on the pontoon B. The both pontoons are pulled together prior to the joint work. The jump device 2 is guided by the tapered face 1b then engaged the base end horizontal top face 1a. At this time, movements of the both pontoons A, B are locked and controlled by the ballast weights W on the pontoon B. In this way, the pontoons A, B can be correctly positioned on the same level thus to obtain the alignment.
