Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent communication interrupt by controlling the system so that a node, which has detected a fault in the outgoing line, may select another outgoing line independently in the store and forward switching network constituted by plural nodes. CONSTITUTION:In case of communication between communication main body (a) in node A and communication main body (d) in node D, transmission source node A of the telegraphic message and repeating nodes B and C select outgoing lines according to routing control information designated by control node F, and thus, the telegraphic message is transferred to destination node D. At this time, in case that a fault occurs in transmission line CD and node C has detected the fault as an outgoing line fault, repeating node C switches the outgoing line independently to maintain communication by path beta, and meanwhile, node C reports the fault of transmission line CD to network control node F. Node F constructs again the path in the network on the basis of this report and instructs related nodes to update of routing control information and transfers the path to path gamma newly. Thus, communication interrupt is prevented.
