Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to select an arbitrary outgoing line for every channel path, by using the node address of a request source unit besides the node address of a destination unit when data is transferred through repeaters of data communication. CONSTITUTION:When transfer data is input to input buffer 1, outgoing line selection processing part 2 reads destination unit node address ADR0 and request source unit node address ADR1 in transfer data into address register 4. ADR0 is used as a key to retrieve primary outgoing line selection information; and when agreeing information is obtained, the secondary outgoing line selection information pointer corresponding to this information is obtained. Next, ADR1 in register 4 is used as a key to retrieve secondary outgoing line selection information; and when agree- ing information is obtained, corresponding output buffer address ABUF0 is obtained. Processing part 2 transfers transfer data in buffer 1 to output buffer 3 indicated by ABUF0. Since buffer 3 corresponds to outgoing lines respectively, the objective outgoing line can be selected.
