Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the evenness of the degree of kneading by directly coupling a gear pump to the discharge port of the kneader for the materials to be kneaded such as synthetic resins and letting material packing rate depend upon the discharge rate corresponding to the number of revolutions thereof and controlling the material temperature in relation to the number of revolutions. CONSTITUTION:The materials being fed at a fixed rate into the chamber 2 of the kneader 1 are melted and kneaded by a mixing rotor 3, after which they are taken out by the gear pump 6 directly coupled to a discharge port 5 at the discharge rate cprresponding to the number of revolutions thereof. At this time, the temperature of the molten materials is measured by a temperature detecting element 7 and when a change occurs in the degree of kneading, the temperature change of the molten materials accompanied with this is detected. Next, if the temperature of the molten materials is lower than the normal value based on the signal from the element 7, the number of revolutions of the gear pump 6 is lowered to decrease the discharge rate. This results in the increased packing rate of the materials in the chamber 2 and increased shearing work upon the materials, thus the temperature rises and resumes the normal value.
