Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the short circuit of treating gas and the dust deposition on the top surface of cross beams by disposing seal plates in the spacings between the side faces of adjacent stacked catalyst units, the spacing between the unit side faces and reactor wall surfaces and the spacing produced by the vessel column members of the reactor wall surfaces, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The spacings between the side faces of adjacent stacked catalyst units 2 are sealed by the seal plates 9 provided at one side of the unit bottom surfaces and the spacings (f) between the unit side faces and reactor wall surfaces 11 by the wall surface seal plates 12 protruding from the reactor wall surfaces, respectively. Next, the spacings produced on account of the vessel column members between the wall surface 11 and unit side faces adjacent to this are sealed by the bridge seal plates 14 bridging between the top end sides of the units and wall surfaces. Further, dust-accumulation preventing members 16 are provided on the top surface of the cross beams 15 of the reactor, whereby the dust accumulation is prevented.
