CONSTITUTION:Conductive supporting plates 2A, 2B are stood in parallel on an insulating station, and piezoelectric elements 1B, 1C are secured to the inside of the plates 2A, 2B, respectively. The elements 1B, 1C have respectively electrodes 3 on both right and left surfaces thereof with polar directions as designated by arrows B. A conductive planar operating member 4 is inserted into the gap between the facing elements 1B and 1C. When the member 4 is depressed, mechanical force F is applied to the elements 1B, 1C in the sliding direction between the member 4 and the elements 1B, 1C. As a result, the elements 1B, 1C operate in sliding mode to a generate high voltage between the output terminals 5 and 6.
