Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent various kinds of adverse effects of external-force moments by a method wherein an automatic posture control is conducted so that an upper slewing body always slew horizontally even in a work at an inclined terrain.
CONSTITUTION: When a slewing excavator 1 is moved onto an inclined terrain, a sensor 27 attached to an swing circle support drum detects an inclination in a traveling direction of the vehicle, a sensor 28 attached to an inner drum detects an inclination in a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction, and the inclination signals are input into a decision circuit 29. The circuit 29 compares the inclination signals with set values, and generates difference signals, which are amplified by amplifiers 30, 31 and then input into servo-valves 23, 24. The servo-valves 23, 24 control the flow rates of oil fed to cylinders 18, 14 in accordance with the difference signals. By functions of the cylinders 18 and 14, an upper slewing body is controlled in posture so that it is kept horizontal.
