Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the device compact by a method wherein, when a cooling device is provided for common use with an oil-filled transformer and an oil-filled reactor installed together, the cooling device is equipped with the cooling capacity corresponding the larger one of the two, the heat loss when the two devices are operated simultaneously and the heat loss when they are operated singly. CONSTITUTION:An oil-filled transformer 1 and an oil-filled reactor 2 are installed together. The transformer 1 is attached with heat exchangers 1a-1c, which operate heat exchange with intermediate coolants, such as oil, water and Freon contained in the transformer. Similar heat exchangers 2a and 2b are attached to the reactor 2, and the coolant is circulated in a cooling tower 5 by using common piping 4. In this structure, the cooling capacity of cooling tower 5 is determined as follows. That is, since the load factor of the transformer 1 when the operation of the reactor 2 is required is not 100%, the cooling capacity is sufficinet if eihter the combined total heat loss of the two devices when the reactor 2 is operated, or the heat loss when they are operated singly, whichever is larger, can be cooled.
