Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a shift member from intruding into the other area on the opposite side unless it shifts after button operation, by allowing it to move into a fixed area only by locking the shift member by a stopper by providing the shift member with a movable positioning member. CONSTITUTION:Stopper 11 restrains, at an intermediate position between high- speed area C and low-speed area A, shift member 14 shifting selectively to both the areas from moving. This stopper 11 is activated upward by spring 13 interposed between case 10 and nut 12 fixed to case 10 and, when a button is pulled up, elevated against spring 13 via wire 7. Then, shift member 14, having movable positioning member 16, is enabled to move in an fixed area only through the locking of member 16 by stopper 11. Consequently, it is disallowed to move into the opposite area unless the member shifts after the button operation.
