Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent switching distortion from being generated, by providing a current path for bias between the base of the output transistor of a push-pull PP amplifier, which is constituted by symmetrical circuits, and the earth or the power source. CONSTITUTION:In symmetrical PP amplifying circuit of inverted Darlington connection, resistances 17 and 18 are provided between the base of output transistors 1 and 2 and the earth, and resistances 7 and 8 are provided between the base and the power source. The bias circuit is adjusted for the class B amplification and is so adjusted that a proper DC bias current may be flowed to Tr1, 2 when no input signal exist. In case of a positive input signal voltage, a current is supplied to load 11 from Tr3 and Tr1. At this time, driving Tr4 is cut off, however, the bias current is flowed to Tr2 by resistances 7 and 17 to prevent Tr2 from being a cutoff state. Similarly, in case of a negative input signal, Tr3 is cut off, however, Tr1 is not cut off due to resistances 8 and 18. Consequently, this circuit functions as a PP amplifier of the class AB, and switching distortion can be prevented, so that the distortion rate can be lowered.
