Abstract
PURPOSE:To report the deterioration of transmission conditions by transmitting character signals, which are prepared previously in stead of photo detection pictures, as picture signals. CONSTITUTION:Infrared-ray signals which come through space are converted to electric signals by photo detection element 4 and are amplified by AGC amplifier 5. AGC amplifier 5 sends the output signals to output terminal 10 and sends a part of them to an AGC detector circuit and switching discrimination circuit 8. Now, if transmission conditions are deteriorated considerably and the output voltage level of AGC amplifier 5 is lowered, switching discrimination circuit 8 switches the contact of switch 7 from position A at a normal time to position B at an abnormal time, and simultaneously, circuit 8 operates character generator circuit 6 to connect circuit 6 to the output terminal. Thus, in case that anomaly occurs on the transmission path and pictures cannot be reproduced, character signals prepared previously are transmitted as picture signals, thereby reporting the deterioration of transmission conditions.
