Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase power recovery effect in heating and reliquefaction of LNG worked in the Rankine cycle, by installing gas extraction ports in the expansion turbine and using extracted gas and the exhaust gas from the expansion turbine to heat and reliquefy LNG. CONSTITUTION:The expansion turbine 2a is provided with a plural number of gas extraction ports 6 and 7, and heating of LNG is made by the LNG heating condenser 3 and the LNG heating and extraction condenser 9 using the exhaust gas from the exhaust port 8 and the extraction gas from the extraction ports 6 and 7. Further, each extracted gas is sent via the branch pipe 6a or 7a to the regenerating heater 10, where the gas heats the condensing liquid sent from the condenser 3 by the pump 4. The pump 11 and 12 send back the heating medium condensed in the condenser 9 and regenerating heater 10 to the heating medium heater 1. By this process, the Rankine cycle applies to the whole area of the changes of state, A-B-C- D-E, and another heater usually required in conventional liquefiers is not needed, and efficiency of the recovery is improved.
