Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide polyurethane composite foam having good nerve when pressed contg. expanded synthetic resin particles composed of a specified styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer resin.
CONSTITUTION: A blowing agent such as propane or pentane is incorporated into a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer resin contg. 2W25wt%, preferably 7W10wt%, of maleic anhydride and having an average degree of polymn. of 500W4,000, preferably 900W2,000. The copolymer resin is expanded with an expansion ratio of 10W40 to obtain expanded synthetic resin particles having a particle diameter of 1W2mm and a length of 2W5mm. Then the expanded resin particles and isocyanate are mixed with a liquid mixt. contg. a polyol, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer, etc. with rapid stirring.
