Abstract

PURPOSE: To control a glow plug at a moderate price and in a contactless system by providing a controlling power transistor independently to each glow plug.
CONSTITUTION: When temperatures of glow plugs G1WG4 rise, an output of a glow plug temperature detector 3 increases and an output of an operation amplifier OP1 also increases. When temperatures of the glow plugs G1WG4 reach a specified value, an operation amplifier OP2 generates a low level output, and a transistor TR5 and consequently transistors TR1WTR4 turn off. A voltage impression on the glow plugs G1WG4 is stopped accordingly. Then, when temperature of the glow plugs G1WG4 drop to a given value or below, the voltage is reimpressed on the glow plugs.
