CONSTITUTION: Optical fiber transmission lines Lm and Lm+1 are used at part of the transmission line which connects each of stations ST0WSTm plus STm+1. And station STm consists of reception circuit R, communication processor CCU and optical transmission circuit Tf which converts the electric signal into the optical signal and then transmits the optical signal to transmission line Lm. While station STm+1 comprises optical reception circuit Rf which receives the optical signal and then demodulates it into the electric signal, processor CCU, and transmission circuit T. Thus the electric signal is converted into the optical signal via circuit Tf of station STm, and the optical signal is sent to station STm+1 via line Lm and Lm+1. And the optical signal is converted into the electric signal via circuit Rf of station STm+1, and the electric signal is transmitted to the next station ST0 via circuit T.
