Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a crystal oscillating circuit which makes a time-division adjustment of a frequency by using a switch element, by previously applying a potential to an adjusting capacitor by a high resistor or the switch element. CONSTITUTION:High resistor 16 is connected in parallel to switch element 15 connected to output terminal 20 of oscillating inverter 13. Therefore when switch element 15 turns ON by control signal 21, the capacity of frequency adjusting capacity body 19 is added to capacity body 17. Then when element 15 is OFF, capacity body 19 is invariably held via resistor 16 at a potential of a certain value, e.g., the same potential as the output terminal of inverter 13, so that when element 15 turns ON, no variation in bias potential will occur. As a result, the oscillating circuit can operate stably. As a substitute for resistor 16, high-resistance switch element 22 is usable.
