Abstract

PURPOSE: To dispense with welding work in a narrow passage and easily and cheaply manufacture a speed ring for a hydraulic machine of high capacity, by securing a plurality of vanes on the facing sides of main annular plates.
CONSTITUTION: A speed ring 6 for a hydraulic machine has an upper and a lower main annular plates 7, 8 which face each other in parallel. A plurality of stay vanes 9 are provided between the plates 7, 8. Each stay vane has a hole 10 which extends through the vane in the axial direction. The stay vane is secured on the main annular plates 7, 8 by a bolt 11 and a nut 12. A spiral casing 13 is welded on the main annular plates 7, 8. According to this method, the constituent parts of the speed ring can be previously and individually finished as to working, welding work in a narrow passage is not needed and the speed ring for the hydraulic machine of large head and high capacity can be easily and cheaply manufactured.
