Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize a supercharger and improve filling efficiency in low loading by installing a supercharger and a single blower onto 2-cycle engine and operating the blower only in low loading of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: A supercharger 25 is positioned in the rear current of the exhaust tank 24 which communicates to an exhaust pipe 23. When the compressor of a supercharger 25 is revolved, the compressed air 26 is supplied to the engine through a cooler 27, scavenging connecting pipe 29, check valve 33, and a scavenging box 32. Bypassing the check valve 33, a single blower 30 is arranged which connects directly the connecting pipe 29 and the scavenging box 32, and at the discharge opening part 35 of the blower, an automatic on-off valve 34 is arranged which on- off-switches the check valve 33 and the opening part 35. In low loading of the engine, the blower 30 operates, and the opening part 35 is opened by the discharge pressure, and the check valve 33 is closed. In high loading, the blower 30 is turned OFF, and the opening part 35 is closed by a spring 38.
