Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the cooling effect at a borer, by providing the borer with an oil feed port, bearings provided in a collector cylinder fitted in a jacket-forming cooling cylinder, and a boring head fitted at a main shaft supported on the bearings. CONSTITUTION:When a main shaft 10 is driven, a boring head integrally formed with the main shaft 10 is rotated to bore a work. A cutting oil is forcibly supplied from an oil feed port 3 into a jacket 2 to cool bearings 9 and oil seals 7 which are fitted in a collector 4. A part of the cutting oil supplied into the jacket 2 flows into a feed passage 15 via an oil injection port 4a, an injection port 6a and a feed port 11. The cutting oil in the feed passage is ejected from a discharge port r1 to be then returned with chips to the main shaft 10 through a return port r2.
