Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve an auxiliary position control device which permits controlling a work feed speed with a predetermined acceleration when the work feed speed is changed, by furnishing the device with an ability to detect the relative distance between a work transfer unit and a work feed unit and apply to a speed control unit a speed instruction voltage in accordance with the mentioned distance. CONSTITUTION:The relative distance between a work transfer unit 2 and a work feed unit 3 is detected by a position detector provided in one of these units 2, 3. An output varying in a stepped manner is obtained from a D/A converter 9 in accordance with a signal output from the position detector. An output from the D/A converter 9 is received as one differential input by a comparator 10. An output from the comparator 10 is integrated in an integrator 11 to output a speed instruction signal, which is in accordance with the relative distance between the work transfer unit 2 and the work feed unit 3, to a speed control unit for the work feed unit 3. An output from the integrator 11 is negatively fed back to the comparator 10 as the other input thereinto.
